Private Acting Lessons
Ages: Grades 1-Adult
Whether you are a first time actor looking to find your performance spark, or a seasoned performer preparing for college or professional auditions, private acting lessons will help you on your journey. Private acting lessons will help actors of all levels prepare for auditions and performances in both theatre and film. Students will build a personal repertoire of monologues and scenes to use in future auditions, while honing their skills in character development, living in the moment, and developing their actor instinct! Our acting staff will design lessons to provide specific tools for each student’s success as an artist. School-age students are expected to attend lessons weekly, while adults can study on a more flexible schedule. At-home practice and preparation is required.
Students in our private lessons program perform in two school-wide recitals and several outreach concerts throughout the year. They also have the opportunity to be chosen to perform at our annual community holiday concert, to participate in masterclasses and workshops with guest artists, and to serve as student mentors for our group classes. They are also the first to be considered for paid assistant positions for classes and camps.
Each student receives a monthly evaluation from the teacher charting their progress and creating new goals for the following month.
All lessons at the SSS Studios take place in one of our teaching studios, which have a large window for observation. Parents are welcome to observe lessons at any time without advance notice.
